Bandon Community Allotments are organised by and for the local community. The allotments are located on land leased from Cork County Council. The allotment garden is located in Cloughmacsimon – a short distance off the bypass, right behind Coláiste Na Toirbhirte. It’s set on a gentle south facing slope, with well drained light soil that should produce some superb veggies. There’s compost available on site and work will shortly begin on creating a new entrance, car park, perimeter fencing and water supply. Plots are available in 2 sizes 5x7m for €80pa or 5x10m for €100pa. There are plenty of plots available so call 023 8852922 or 087 9567452 or email bandontransition@gmail.com for more information. This website is currently maintained by Ivan McCutcheon but he would be delighted to share it with any of the allotment holders that want to be added as editors – just send him your email address.
